Counseling should generate and encourage your confidence in God and yourself, and in your capacity to solve the problem. But the reality of life is that sometimes problems don't go away, but you can see the problem in another perspective and thus are not enslaved to it. Form a partnership of hope. Your hope, which you've displayed by coming for counseling, is the counselor's secret weapon. It is the most potent ingredient in any prescription, in any task you decide to take upon yourself.
